VRMA Celebrates VMB Micro’s $100,000 Grant for Vinyl Recycling Innovation

VMB Micro has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Vinyl Institute through its VIABILITY Recycling Grant Program—marking a major step forward for vinyl record sustainability in the U.S.

The Vinyl Record Manufacturers Association (VRMA) proudly celebrates this milestone and is delighted to have been part of the process supporting a solution that brings next-generation recycling technology to our industry. Powered by VMB Micro’s patented MicroShear™ micronization process, the program enables the recycling of whole vinyl records by preserving material quality and producing clean streams suitable for pressing new records and other vinyl-based products.

Launching first at VMB Micro’s Dallas/Fort Worth facility, this initiative establishes the first U.S.-based consumer return infrastructure for vinyl records, delivering a scalable, circular model that VRMA members will soon be able to access.

The VRMA is part of shaping the future of vinyl—join today and be part of what’s next.
